Instruction Programs

Individual Instruction
Each individual lesson begins with an interview about the current state of your game, any physical limitations that may affect your ability to swing and the goals you want to achieve with your golf game. 
    Next, a high speed video will be taken of your swing and after a review of the video, your instructor will show you how to make improvements using specific drills and training aids.
    At the end of each lesson a summary and demonstration of the key points will be recorded by the instructor and all of this information along with the initial analysis will be put onto a take-home DVD.

Group Lessons for new and intermediate golfers
Our group programs are designed to introduce or increase the golfer's abilities by giving them a better understanding of the game's fundamentals. For the new golfer entering the game, or those who have some experience but prefer a series of lessons that cover all aspects of the game, this is an excellent option.
    Both new and intermediate level programs include six one-hour group lessons, an academy notebook and an academy hat and bag tag.  The intermediate program also includes a DVD of the student's swing and 10 anytime rounds of golf at the twilight rate.  These programs are offered twice each week.

Playing Lessons
During our playing lessons, our instructor will evaluate and work with you on a variety of skills including your pre-shot routine, course management decisions, short game shot selection and swing technique. Most of our on-course lessons are scheduled at the end of the day when we have more access to the golf course. 

Clinics
The academy offers weekly clinics covering every aspect of the game. Although introductory in nature, they are a good refresher if you are having trouble with that portion of your game. Clinics are generally an hour in length and only given on particular days. Please call the academy for upcoming session dates and topics.

Internet Lessons and Lessons by Mail
Many of the students who come to the Mike Bender Golf Academy do not live in the Orlando area. To facilitate continued access to our staff, we offer internet lessons and lessons by mail.  For a lesson by mail, send a face-on and down-the-targetline video of your swing to the academy. Your swing will be analyzed and a commentary of what needs to be improved will be provided, along with drills and other helpful ways to make the necessary changes. 8mm, VHS or DVD will be accepted with a turnaround time of usually less than one week.
    Internet lessons can also be done using the V-1 software. Students wanting to use this quicker format can download the software from the V-1 home.com website for a cost of around $50.00. Please contact the academy for our V-1 Pro Code, which will be necessary to send us your video via the internet.

Custom Golf Schools
The Mike Bender Golf Academy offers a unique customized golf school program. If you are interested in attending a golf school we can custom build an itinerary to fit your exact needs and schedule. We have the flexibility to create an instructional program that has any combination of instruction and playing that you may desire.
    Along with our excellent home-base course at Timacuan we have access to many other great golf courses in the Orlando area that can be included with your package.
