Morales Makes Sweet 16 at U.S. Womens Amateur

Nicole Morales, 15, of South Salem, NY, made it to the round of 16 at the 2011 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship at the Country Club of Rhode Island. This was Morales first U.S. Amateur competition. She has been coached by MBGA Director of Instruction Cheryl Anderson since she was 8 years old. Morales also made the match play portion of the U.S. Girls Junior Amateur Championship at Olympia Fields Country Club in Chicago in July after finishing as the 4th seed out of 150 after 36 holes of stroke play qualifying. Congratulations to Nicole on an outstanding summer of competition. |
